Traquair House
Scotland’s oldest inhabited house dates back to 1107 and was originally a hunting lodge for the Kings and Queens of Scotland.

Kailzie Gardens
Kailzie Gardens, situated just outside Peebles is a formal walled garden with extensive gardens and walks.
In season, Snowdrops, Daffodils and Bluebells provide a rich variety of colour while a larch tree planted in 1725 is believed to be Scotland’s oldest.
As well as the gardens, one of the main attractions at Kailzie is the live viewing of the Tweed Valley Ospreys. CCTV has been set up to give you a detailed insight into the lives of these fabulous birds.

Dawyck Gardens
Dawyck Botanic Gardens is one of only 4 Botanical Gardens in Scotland.

Golf Breaks in the Scottish Borders
The 6,138 yard Par 70 Peebles Golf Course was remodelled in 1933/34 by legendary course designer Harry Colt.
A traditional upland course, Peebles offers an excellent challenge for players of all abilities.
A tough opening few holes are balanced out with a more generous stretch before culminating in a very testing finish.
The clubhouse opened in 1998 and provides excellent facilities along with the extensively stocked Pro Shop.

Eastgate Theatre is situated on the main street in Peebles and since opening in 2004 has become a lively hub for arts activities in the Scottish Borders.

Rosslyn Chapel
Dan Brown’s blockbuster, The Da Vinci Code helped turn Rosslyn Chapel into one of Scotland’s top Tourist Attractions.
The 15th century chapel is shrouded in tales and mystery; the carvings and stonemasonry are breathtaking and some have intrigued scholars about their meanings for centuries.
While there, try and find Robert the Bruce’s death mask (the most difficult carving to spot in the chapel) and see how many of the 100 Green Men carvings you can find.
