Our Chefs have been working really hard over the last few weeks and we now have some great new Menus available throughout The Horseshoe Inn.
The Restaurant offers a new 3 course
Lunch Menu, new
A la Carte and for those who like the sound of lots of the the A la Carte dishes, a fabulous
Tasting Menu. The Restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday and our Traditional Sunday Lunch is available in both the Restaurant and Bistro starting at just £19.50 for 2 courses.
With a new Kitchen Team, you would expect change and this can be seen in these new Menus; there is a move away from Classic French towards Modern European and Head Chef, Riad adds a Creole touch to one or two dishes.
Lunch is priced at £22 for 2 courses, the A la Carte at £40 and the 6 course Tasting at £50 (or £85 with Matching Wines); all good value but everyone can enjoy a £5 Mid-week Discount on the A la Carte and Tasting Menus on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Our Bistro has always been popular and we're sure that the new
Menu will be to everyone's liking; we've listened to what our Customers have been telling us and the food has been simplified, the portion sizes increased a little and the reduced prices now provide great value.
There is also now a Blackboard in the Bistro with dishes that change daily dependent on the freshest produce our Suppliers have for us; this will ensure that everytime you visit, there is something different available to try. Each lunchtime, our Blackboard will include our Club Sandwich and Soup combination.
Our extensive wine list (AA Noteable Wine List 2011/2012) offers some fabulous bottles with prices to suit all budgets; we're also now working closely with local Brewery,
Stewart Brewing to provide a wider choice of Ales.

My son was so impressed by his meal in September, that he arranged for his father and I to eat there for my birthday the following week. The food was spectacular, both in taste and presentation and the service was superb. The chocolate painting with "Happy Birthday Mum" on it still stands on its' chocolate easel, as a reminder of this happy event.
After over 40 years of travel, during which we have eaten out in nearly 60 countries, we can truthfully say that this meal was amongst the best we have ever eaten. This is especially the case for me, as my need for gluten free food proved not to be an obstacle. Rather than just omit the offending item, as is so often the case, alternatives were provided which were both imaginative and delicious.
A memorable evening for all the right reasons.

Hi Ann
What a lovely message and we're really pleased that your Son enjoyed his visit as much as you and your Husband.
I will pass on your kind comments to our Kitchen Team; as you rightly say, people with dietary requirements often have ingredients removed rather than alternatives being provided and I'm very pleased that Riad and his Team produced something to your liking.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to The Horseshoe Inn in the near future.
