Very Fine and Rare Wines
Occasionally we are able to lay our hands on some of the world's great wines at advantageous prices. When we can do this we buy a little stock in and place only a modest cash margin on these wines to ensure the affordability within this rarefied price bracket. These wines include some of the world's greatest vineyards, wines and vintages.
By it's nature this list will change as and when these wines become available to us.

Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 1994

Without a doubt, this is the finest producer in Corton, farming exactly the same estate that has been handed down through only 3 owners, granted by the Emperor Charlemagne to the Abbey at Saulieu in 775. A gorgeous, creamy, peach and mango nose with delicate smoky notes, followed by a palate of sublime elegance, an ethereal lightness of touch, plump rich fruit and a succulent ripe finish.

Puligny Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru 2003
Domaine Leflaive, Burgandy
From the greatest producer in Puligny Montrachet and their greatest 1er Cru vinyard. Generous pain grille and vanilla notes frame the honeysuckle and white flower aromas and continue on to the sweet round and elegant flavours that display obvious class and refinement if not the complexity one normally finds here. This is easy to like and finishes with noticable dryness.
